I start acute orientation soon and I'm a little...
The way my program works is our floor is broken up into two sides: ICU and sub-acute ICU. We can’t have vents, pressors, or a-lines on the sub side.  We orient on sub, work independently for 6 months to a year and then orient acute. I’m pretty comfortable on sub, but when things get hairy I can always step up a patient. When I orient acute, when things get hairy, its alllll me. Scary,...
