and there was this story they were telling about these two kids (well, 21 year olds) from Brooklyn.
They were both in art school, were dating for 9 months and totally in love, and then one day the girl got hit on her bike by an 18 wheeler truck
They were going to take her off life support but she started to stabilize, however her pupils were non-reactive (probably now blind) and she couldn’t hear (she wore hearing aids before her accident and every time someone tried to put them in she swung at them).
Her boyfriend never left her side and eventually was the one who saved her by drawing words in her palm to communicate since she couldn’t see or hear. He’s the reason she wasn’t sent to a nursing home for the rest of her life.
Now she’s still in rehab but he’s dedicated himself to helping her and they’re moving back in together when she can walk again.
I got really misty eyed during this whole story and thought to myself, I hope I am lucky enough one day to find someone who loves me that much.

This song contains some of my favorite lyrics:
“All the girls in every girlie magazine can’t make me feel any less alone, I’m reaching for the phone to call at 7:03 and on your machine I slur a plea for you to come home”

In honor of this song I’m going to wear chucks, a liars t-shirt and a cardigan. Thank you Snowing.
Lyrics:
“Hey. I’m dazed on your front lawn tonight. I’ll drive home screaming At the Drive-In. I’ve been driving this thing for too long, and on and on and the point is etc. I will explode if I don’t. Believe me, that I know. I will explode if I don’t kiss you now. I’ve been living like a sailor, my sea legs are wearing down.”
